Rural Health Clinics Receive Vaccine Confidence Program Funds, Announces O’Halleran

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) announced that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) had released grant funding to federally certified Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) to support vaccine outreach efforts in rural underserved communities like Arizona’s First Congressional District.

Chosen clinics will each receive roughly $49,5000 to implement community-specific vaccine confidence and outreach efforts in their underserved areas.
“As trusted voices in their communities, rural health clinic doctors, nurses, and hardworking staff are some of the best positioned to provide rural Arizona families with accessible, accurate information on COVID-19 vaccines,” said O’Halleran. “These shots are free, safe, and effective, and I know our RHCs will benefit from this funding that aids them in doing their part to get Americans vaccinated.”

Grant breakdown:
Gila Valley Clinic PC: $49,529
Winslow Memorial Hospital Inc: $49,529
Gila River Health Care Corp: $49,529
