SAFFORD — The Gila Valley Arts Council is inviting the public to its birthday celebration.
The Arts Council will conduct its 40th anniversary celebration Friday, April 17, from 6-8 p.m., at Ginaveve’s Marketplace in Safford’s Downtown.
The event will feature light snacks and a musical performance by local artist, Chas Ornelas.
Each year, the Gila Valley Arts Council brings in a wide array of musical performers for public concerts at the David M. Player Center for the Arts.
The Arts Council also stages special daytime concerts with those performers for school children, offers a free mini-concert for the public at the Safford City-Graham County Library, and facilitates performer workshops for advanced high school and college music students.
