SAFFORD — The public is invited to see what takes place at Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry.

On Tuesday, April 12, Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry will conduct its regular food distribution for those in need who qualify, and from 10 a.m. to noon there will also be free health screenings and health information.

In addition, healthy recipes will be available to maximize items obtained at the farm.

“They can actually come to our garden on Mondays and Fridays to get fresh produce,” said Stacey Scarce, executive director for Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry. “We do sell excess produce, and right now there’s beautiful cabbage, cauliflower and kale.”

Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry is located at 1020 S. 10th Ave., in Safford. The invitation to the public to see what Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry does is made possible by Southeast Arizona Health Education Center, SEAGO, the CDC Foundation, and the University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.
