Gila Valley Business among those being honor by SBDC Arizona

Tempe, AZ – Twenty-eight small businesses from across Arizona will be honored at the 2022 Success Awards on April 14, 2022. Nearly 300 legislators, business and community leaders are expected to attend the high-profile event, which will be held at the Arizona State Capitol and is hosted by the America’s SBDC Arizona Network. 

Locally, the owners of Gila Valley Made, LLC in Safford, Patricia Garrett & Taylor Ludwig, and Lois Monarrez, owner of Gila County RV Park and Batting Range in Globe, have received Success Awards for their outstanding achievement as Arizona small businesses. The owners worked with Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center to accelerate their company’s growth.

Scott and Dan Heiling, owners of Heitek Automation, will receive the Platinum Success Award for 2022 and Gabriel Hyams of Pinnacle Transplant Technologies will be recognized as the 2020 Platinum Success Award winner for 2020.  

Other small businesses that will be honored for exceptional achievement include: Takos and Beer / Julieanna’s Steak and Seafood in Yuma, Boss Up Customs, LLC in Casa Grande, Nemean Solutions, LLC in Sierra Vista, Strive 2 Thrive and Elevated Shredding in Flagstaff, Creative Hands Cuisine in Mesa, Mark My Words in Tempe, Resuture in Surprise, Mertens Heavy Equipment Repair, LLC in Kingman, The House Show Low, LLC in Show Low, NAC Holding Company in Tucson and Farm a GoGoin Cornville.

In addition, the following award-winners from 2020 will be recognized: Floor Coverings International in Kingman, Helton Tool & Home in Mesa, Historic Coronado Motor Hotel in Yuma, Home Instead Senior Care of Surprise in Surprise, LaserGirl Skincare LLC in Sedona, Mudslinger Drive-Thru Coffee in Show Low, Native Gardens in Green Valley, TAC Fabrication in Cottonwood, Office Keepers in Mesa, RV Master Tech in Glendale, and Pinal Construction in Casa Grande.  

The Arizona Procurement Technical Assistance Center (AZPTAC) will recognize Pinal Construction, LLC in Casa Grande and Top Onyx in Phoenix.

 “Each of the winners has created significant economic impact in their communities by seeking expert advice and assistance,” noted America’s SBDC Arizona Interim State Director Danny Ayala. “SBDC and PTAC services help small businesses grow faster.”

In the past two years, America’s SBDC Arizona helped its clients create or retain almost 11,000 jobs, increase their collective sales by more than $143 million and start 640 new businesses. SBDC counselors also facilitated nearly $276 million in capital formation for new and expanding businesses.
