SAFFORD — On Monday, the Safford Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest announced on X (formerly Twitter) a prescribed burn will take place on Mount Graham on Wednesday.
The district will conduct prescribed pile burn activities from Columbine to Heliograph.
The burns will start Wednesday and could continue through the rest of the week, pending weather conditions.
The National Weather Service Tucson is predicting rain, with snow at higher elevations, in Graham County Wednesday night and into Thursday.
