Pima schools locked down, no threat found

PIMA — Pima schools went into lockdown for about an hour Wednesday morning, following reports of a person on campus with a weapon.

School officials notified parents shortly after 8:30 a.m. that students were in a “stay put” situation while law enforcement investigated the allegation.

Law enforcement officers from Pima and Thatcher Police departments and the Graham County Sheriff’s Office determined there was no threat and, at about 9:30 a.m., parents were notified that normal school operations were resumed.
