PIMA — The start of the summer swim season in Pima will have to wait just a bit longer.
Town officials announced on social media Friday that the opening of the public pool will be delayed due to a breakdown of the pool’s pump.
A date for the pool’s opening has not yet been announced.
During the most recent Pima Town Council meeting, Town Manager Vernon Batty said the resurfacing of the pool was completed.
“This was part of our Arizona State Parks grant,” Batty said. “We were able section off part of it for resurfacing the pool; the rest of it is for out at the ball fields, to develop a park out there.”
