BYLAS — The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced a public celebration will take place to honor a basketball championship.
A celebration parade and dinner for the 1A state Champion Fort Thomas Apache boys basketball team will take place Friday, March 6, starting at 6 p.m.
The parade will begin on Bottom Road, across from the Nozie residence, and travel to Stanley Hall, where the dinner will be held.
All tribal members are encouraged to enter a float in the parade. Register by calling 928-475-4398.
The Fort Thomas boys defeated St. David, 77-45, in the 1A championship game on Friday, Feb. 27, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.
