Pamper Me returns, expands to two days

THATCHER — After a short layoff due to the pandemic, one of the Gila Valley’s favorite holiday events is back.

Pamper Me, Ladies Night Out will take place at the Eastern Arizona College Activities Center on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and, new this year, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Funds raised from Pamper Me will support the Monster Exchange, a pantry on the campus of EAC that helps students in need with food, personal items, clothing and school supplies.

“The admission is just $2 for people to come in, and that money will go to the Monster Exchange, but we will also have drawing tickets for sale,” said co-organizer Patti Wren. “All of the vendors will be donating at least a $100 prize.”

Pamper Me brings in upward of 50 vendors with focus on the shopping desires of the women of Graham County.

In addition to shopping, Friday will feature the popular fashion show, featuring clothing from five shops — Enchanted Boutique, Copper & Cotton Lifestyle Co. Turquoise Barn, Lace & Grace and Josie James Co.

Also on Friday the Deserving Divas will be spotlighted.

“This year, we’re focusing on nurses. We’re recognizing the women who had to be upfront dealing with the COVID battle, in the hospital the whole time,” Wren said.

The Wear will provide clothing, and Eastern Arizona College of Cosmetology will provide manicure and facials for all of the Divas. Meanwhile The Parlor’s Riley Fuller and Julia Basteen will provide cut, color and style for two Divas and Posh Place’s Jayden Oliver cut, color and style for the other.
