Pamela Lynn (Rose) Dunn

Pamela Lynn (Rose) Dunn, wife, mother and grandmother, was born on July 26, 1955, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Robert and Renee Rose. When she was 5-6 years old, the family moved to Lakeside, Arizona, where Pam attended school. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1974.

Both of Pam’s parents where school teachers, which undoubtedly influenced her to also become a classroom teacher. Pam wore out her life in service to others, educating their children for nearly 40 years, retiring twice in the process.

After being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer, in May of 2013, she still taught for another 2 years before she no longer had the strength to stay in the classroom. Pam passed away on Thursday morning, June 28, 2018, on the anniversary of her and Leslie’s temple marriage. After 5 long years, she finally won her battle with cancer, passing through the veil into the loving arms of her Savior and countless others who welcomed her home. Pam was 62.

Pam loved children, all ages and all sizes, large or small. She loved the great outdoors, the clean mountain air, the pines and watching the elk and other mountain wildlife.

Pam is survived by: her loving husband and eternal companion, Leslie K. Dunn; her mother, Renee Rose and her sister, Wendy Rose, both of Pinetop, Arizona; her sons, Alex Dunn of Duncan, Arizona and Jacob Dunn of Safford, Arizona; her daughters, Ella Dunn of Safford, Arizona, Alyssa Dunn of Sierra Vista, Arizona and Lana Carr (Joe) of Peoria, Arizona; her mother-in-law, Jimmie Dunn of Globe, Arizona; her sisters-in-law, Rogenia Dunn Anway (Steve) of Pima, Arizona and Patti Rose (Craig) of Surprise, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandchildren, numerous cousins and other family members.

Pam was preceded in death by: her father, Robert Rose; her brother, Craig Allen Rose; and her father-in-law, Roy M. Dunn.

Funeral services for Pam will be conducted Friday, July 6, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., at the Duncan L.D.S. Stake Center by Bishop Steve Lunt of the Virden Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Virden Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Friday afternoon, July 6, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. in the Duncan L.D.S. Stake Center Relief Society Room.
