No new COVID-19 cases across the region Monday

SAFFORD — The downward trend of new coronavirus cases in Graham County is continuing.

The Graham County Health Department reported just two new cases over the weekend, with one on the San Carlos Apache reservation on Saturday and one in Pima on Sunday. There were no new cases reported Monday.

That brings Graham County’s total to 774, with 180 cases still active, 570 recovered and 24 deaths.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe also reported zero new cases Monday, the first time the tribe has had no new cases since June 8.

The tribe’s total is at 914, with 87 of the cases considered active, 812 recovered and 15 deaths.

While Graham County and the San Carlos Apache Tribe can celebrate no new cases Monday, Greenlee County has been 39 days without a new case.

Greenlee County is holding at 58 cases, one active 55 recovered and two deaths.
