THATCHER — The Small Business Development Center at EAC announced it is hosting a kick-off meeting for the next DreamBuilder cohort.
DreamBuilder, funded by Freeport-McMoRan and created by the ASU Thunderbird School, is a unique business training program designed to assist women in starting or growing a business.
“We are one of, I think, less than 10 organizations that offer in-person cohorts. And I think I’m safe to say around the world,” said Eric Bejarano, EAC SBDC director.
The online courses walk the user through the basics of starting a business while simultaneously building a business plan. The online courses are supplemented with weekly workshops under the direction of Business Analyst Torey Cranford at EAC starting in January and ending in April.
This kick-off meeting is free, and the supplemental course series starts Jan. 30. Cost is $50. Successful students will receive a certificate of completion during our graduation ceremony in April.
While the program is designed for women, men are welcome to attend.
The Graham County DreamBuilder kick-off meeting will take place Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon, in Room No. 121 of the EAC Academic Programs Building. Registration for the kick-off meeting is at http://tinyurl.com/GrahamDB.
