SAFFORD — At Thursday’s Community Network Team meeting, Gila Valley Samaritan Home announced a new affiliation to help people overcome homelessness.

Samaritan Home is partnering with the Homeless I.D. Project.

The purpose is to help those experiencing homelessness be able to obtain their birth certificate or an Arizona identification card. Those forms of I.D. can then be used to help people obtain services, housing or apply for jobs.

The Homeless I.D. Project will be at Gila Valley Samaritan Home on Tuesdays and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
