Monte Hugh Ellsworth

Monte Hugh Ellsworth, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016, surrounded by his family in Pima, AZ. He was born to Hugh & Pearl Ellsworth on June 13, 1931 in Mesa, AZ.

Monte grew up in the Queen Creek/Chandler areas, graduating from Chandler High School in 1950. He retired in 1973 from the Arizona Air National Guard (M.Sgt.) as a Flight Engineer, flying KC-97’s. Upon his retirement he returned to his roots, and began farming, first in Gilbert and finally in Pima.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice “Allie” M., son; Keith (Donna) Ellsworth of Pima, daughters; Pam Ellsworth of Pima, Krinda (Jay) Brown of Coolidge, four grandsons; Josh Ellsworth of Texas, Derek and Trevor Ellsworth, Jacob (Ashley) Brown all of Arizona, and three great-grandchildren; Zachary Ellsworth, Gracie Ellsworth and Iden Brown. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Robinson of Washington, and Maxine Knapp of Mesa.

Monte is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh & Pearl Ellsworth.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints LDS Chapel located at 2740 S. Lindsay Road in Gilbert, 85295.
