Michael Guzzo born on Sept 5, 1946 to Rosa Sandoval Guzzo and Joe Parque Guzzo in Morenci, Arizona entered into rest on May 20, 2016 at his home in Clifton, Arizona.
He honorably served our country from 1966 to 1970 in the US Air Force and toured one year in Vietnam as a Jet Engine Mechanic with the 315 CAMS (Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron) at Phan Rang Air Base. He spent his life in Greenlee County participating, organizing, and promoting community involvement, education, and awareness of veteran’s affairs on local, state and national levels. He contributed his artistic talents, musicianship and organizational skills to accomplish those goals.
His public role as business partner at family owned Maud’s Cafe, was used as a platform to connect with people, build friendships, share ideas and build community. He will be remembered for his share in passing down the Guzzo family recipes, his kindness, and his unique guitar style.
He is survived by his daughters Andrea Jeanette and Vanessa Rose Guzzo, Sister Jeanette (Lee) Graves, Brother Stephen (Pearl) Guzzo, four grandchildren Julian, Brendan Adrian and Hannah and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and son Mario Guzzo.
