Mary Louise Marler passed on February 8, 2017 at the age of 70. She is survived by her husband James Marler Jr., and her children Duain, Robert, Sheila, Edith, and Ruth. Known as Nana, she loved and adored her nine grandchildren; Sarah, Wheeler, Krysten, Taylor, Kayla, Ashley, Joseph, Marlee, and Buster; and her 14 great grandchildren.
Her children will miss her pepper steak, homemade dinner rolls, playing cards, fishing with her, and how she would hum along to old gospel songs.
As her children reflect on the years they spent with her, they recall that they do not have one bad memory of their mother. It is rare to find a person that was tougher than nails, but sweet as could be; strong, determined, and genuine, while giving, loving, and accepting. Selfless – she was truly selfless.
