Man agrees to show authorities drugs inside residence

SAFFORD – Early last Thursday morning, around 12:30 am, authorities made contact with a man outside a residence on 12th Street whom they have had experience with having drug involvement. When an officer asked the man if he had anything illegal on himself or in the residence, the man stated he had a quarter gram of meth inside, which the officer knew to be a usable amount. The man reportedly asked the officers if they could go inside to “get it,” and the officers followed the man to a bedroom where they located meth, heroin, marijuana, a  plastic meth bong, and other drug paraphernalia.

The man reported to authorities that all the items found belonged to him. A woman who had been in the bathroom told the officers that none of the items belonged to her. While an officer was speaking with the woman the man spoke up, stating all the items were his. All evidence was collected and later secured at the Safford Police Department. At the time of the report, charges are pending.
