Private Funeral Services for Zell Briscoe were conducted March 2, 2017, at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley,” in Safford, Arizona. She passed away on February 27, 2017, at the Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. Interment followed in the Pima Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were: Ferrell Heathman and Miguel Trevino. Closing Prayer at Vining’s was given by Pastor Summer Paz and a final prayer given by Dr. Phil Tutor at the Pima Cemetery.
Zell was born January 11, 1929, to Jewel and Muggins Sharp. She was born in Byars, Oklahoma.
Following graduation, she moved to Arizona in 1948. That same year she married Harold Briscoe. They had three children: Sandy Paz of Duncan, Arizona, Sonya Rexene Arrellin of Safford, and Harold Kelly Briscoe of Pima, Arizona. She has a sister: Patsy Bolin of Pima, Arizona. She is also blessed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved each one of them dearly.
Zell was a homemaker, house wife and her home was always open to everyone. No one ever went away hungry, she made sure you were fed before leaving.
She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and she loved the Lord greatly. She will always remain in the hearts of anyone who knew her.
