Library offering a number of activities in October

SAFFORD — The Safford City-Graham County Library is the place to be this month in the Gila Valley.

The Library announced a number of events taking place this month, including:

● The Lego Club, for grades 1-6, will meet Oct. 13, 3-4:30 p.m.

● The movie “Spare Parts” will be screened Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.

● A teen program on horror make-up is Oct. 20 at 3:30 p.m.

● Friends Night Out at 5 p.m. Oct. 21 will spotlight the work of artist Hal Empie

● A green corn tamale class will take place Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m.

The month wraps with a Halloween story time, including a costume parade through the library, followed by a carnival with game. Story time is for children 0-5 and their parents or guardians, and will take place Oct. 28 from 10-11:30 a.m.

All events at the Safford Library are free to attend and participate.
