Halloween-themed story walk in Safford’s Downtown

SAFFORD — In addition to trick-or-treating businesses in Safford’s Downtown this month, youngsters can get in a little reading.

The Safford City City-Graham County Library announced it has put in place a story walk along Safford’s Main Street.

A page or two of the story “Room on the Broom” has been placed in the windows of 13 different businesses and youngsters can read the entire story by walking both side of Main Street.

Participating businesses include:

● Rustic Lace

● Emil Crockett Insurance

● Art’s Barber Shop

● Trophies N’ Tees

● Kracked

● Trendz

● Graham County Vaccination Center

● Red Oven Pizza

● Gila Valley Made

● Great Communities Resource Center (GCRC)

● The Gathering Scene

● Carpet Tile and More

The Downtown story walk continues now through Oct. 31. A second story walk is permanently in place at the multi-use path along Discovery Park Boulevard, near the Safford Cemetery.
