Jimmy Wayne Elkins, Sr. passed away peacefully at the Essential Patient Care Assisted Living Home on March 12, 2024, at the age of 84.
Jimmy was a loving dad, grandfather & uncle and a fiercely loyal friend. He had an incredible and diligent work ethic and made friends wherever he went. Even though he had a tough time communicating over the last 20 twenty years due to a stroke, his quick smile and playful manner made him a very easy person to get to know and love. Although he wasn’t a religious person, he knew the Savior lived and was genuinely kind to everyone he met.
He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy Elkins Jr. (Shari), Chris Chittister (Melanie) and Mark Elkins (Whitney); his grandchildren, Nicholas Elkins (Nykell), Jace Elkins (Natalie), Joseph Elkins (Shannon), Christopher Elkins, Rainee & Sage Chittister and Elliot & Eileen Elkins, as well as six great-grandchildren; his nephew and nieces, Mike Koscielniak, Michelle Williams & Brandi Meloche.
He is preceded in death by: his mother & father, Buren & Eva Lou Elkins; his sister, Glenda Koscielniak (Lenny); and his wives, Sharon and Geraldine.
The family will conduct a private service at a later date.
