Jennifer Diann Stailey Berg Lemons

Jennifer Diann Stailey Berg Lemons, of Safford, entered life eternal on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was 50.

Jennifer Diann Stailey was born on April 27, 1971, in Silver City, New Mexico. At birth she weighed 6 pounds and was a fussy, but beautiful baby with no hair, which made everyone think she was a cute little boy at first.

Jennifer played basketball and ran track and field in high school. She also participated in the Miss Teen New Mexico and graduated from Cliff High School in 1989. Jennifer met the love of her life, Erich J. Berg, and they were married on April 24, 1993, in Cliff, New Mexico.

Jennifer and Erich were blessed with two sons, Austin Lloyd Berg on March 11, 1994, and Jordan James Berg on September 10, 1997. They started living family life in Las Cruces, New Mexico and ended up in Cheney, Washington.

In February of 2001 her husband, Erich, passed away. Jennifer and her boys then lived in Spokane, Washington before moving to Mesa, then finally settled in Safford, Arizona. While living in Safford she held various jobs including childcare, teachers aid and cafeteria worker. She also assisted members of the community with terminal conditions to live their lives as normally and comfortably as possible.

Jennifer was a rock of support to her family, friends, and anyone else who was in need. She often put others’ needs in front of her own and never asked for anything in return. Jennifer’s compassion, spirit, and heart will be missed by many.

Jennifer is survived by: her sons, Austin Berg and Jordan Berg; her mother, Sharon Stailey; her siblings, Jared Stailey (Jennifer), Gina Stauffer (Chris), Jonathon Stailey (Jodi), Jessica “Rose” Stailey and Jacob Stailey; her husband, Wes Lemons; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Erich Berg; and her father, Dennis Lee Stailey.

Funeral services for Jen Jen will be conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at the Safford Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Craig O’Donnal of the Safford 5th Ward.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., also at the Stake Center.

Jen Jen will be laid to rest next to her husband, Erich, in Cheney, Washington
