Isela G. Robledo Robbins, age 68, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, in Safford. Isela was born on July 23, 1950, in Morenci, to Enrique T. Robledo and Julietta G. Robledo. She was raised in Morenci with her brothers Mike and Ernie.
Isela graduated from high school in Morenci in 1968. She was a sweet, loving and kind woman who touched hearts wherever she went with her kindness, generosity and ever-present smile. She helped out anyone she could whenever it was needed.
She was a devout Christian and was very active in her church (Church of God in Safford). She was also a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. Isela loved praising and honoring the Lord, she attended church and Bible studies. She always participated in church functions and helped with sorting clothing donations, potlucks and fundraisers. She loved to spend time with family and friends by watching movies, going out to eat, cookouts, playing games and doing art projects with her grandchildren.
Isela is preceded in death by: her mother and father, Julietta and Enrique; her brothers, Mike and Ernie; and her son, Paul Derr, Jr.
She is survived by: her husband, Rick Robbins; her children, Albert Robledo, Pam Cates, Charles Robertson and Andrew Matthews; her grandchildren, Abby and Tabitha Higgs, Reyna, Armando, Tiana Lucero, Hope, Brianna, Joseph Cates, Andrea and Jayden Robertson; her great- grandchildren, Kai, Lailah, Jessica, Aniyah and three more babies on the way; also her cousins, nieces and nephews.
She touched the hearts of many with her sweet kindness, beautiful smile and will be missed by many!
Funeral services for Isela will be conducted Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley,” by Pastor David Alford of the Church of God. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
