Isabelle “Liz” Bush, 92, of Safford, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2016 at her home after a brief illness. Liz was born November 19, 1924 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Jessie & Minnie Dempsey Stout. She married Ted Bush on June 23, 1942 in Bellefontaine, OH.
Liz & Ted came to Arizona in 1967 where Ted was stationed at Williams Air Force Base after 25 years of service. He retired in 1971. Liz belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Safford and loved attending church there. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding, playing softball and camping with family and friends.
Liz is survived by her son Ted (Cathy) Bush of Gilbert, AZ, granddaughters Katie (Stephen) Durr of Safford, AZ and Lacie (Bill) Wingard of Gilbert, AZ, grandson Travis (Michelle) Bush of Gilbert, AZ, ten great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Ted, two sons; Larry and Terry, her parents and brother.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Thatcher Cemetery.
