Carol Joanne Maroney, a resident of Gilbert, entered into eternal life Thursday, November 17, 2016, at her residence. She was 83.
Joanne was born March 26, 1933 to Tony and Lola Lake in Phoenix and left this earthly life to return to her loving husband Eddie and her Savior Jesus Christ. Joanne married her sweet heart Eddie Maroney on May 28, 1953. While living in Phoenix the first two of five children were born, Connie and Susan, the family moved to Safford Arizona in 1957 where the next two children were born Randall and Ronald (Ron), the family moved to Sierra Vista. In 1964, while living there, number five was born, Christopher. After leaving Sierra Vista in 1979 they lived in Tucson. In 2006 they made their final move to Gilbert. Joanne was a sweet and loving Mother to her children and others who came to stay in their home, Love was all she ever hoped for in return, she will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Joanne leaves to mourn: her daughters, Connie (Dennis) Larson and Susan (Mike) Stickler; sons, Randall (Vida Ruth) Maroney, Ron (Kathy) Maroney and E. Christopher (Wendi) Maroney; nineteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and extended family throughout Arizona. Carol was predeceased by: her husband of sixty years, Idis.
Graveside services for Carol were conducted Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., at the Emery Cemetery.
