SAFFORD — First responders were called out to Safford’s Downtown area Thursday, in an effort to save the life of an elderly man.
City officials said the man was crossing the street with his daughter when he suffered an apparent heart attack, falling to the ground. Life-saving measures were attempted but proved unsuccessful.
Witnesses reported the incident occurring in the area of 5th Avenue and Main Street.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
