SAFFORD — Gila Watershed Partnership has a way to earn money for college and help the environment.
GWP has two, 900-hour contracts for Americorps internships, which run September through July 2025.
In addition to being paid to work with GWP, once the contract is completed, the Americorps interns will receive an educational award for college.
“And that can go toward tuition, books, fees, we understand it can go to any legitimate expense at any accredited college or university,” said Dr. Sarah Sayles, GWP executive director. “And, if you’re out of school, you can pay your loans with it.”
The Americorps internships are available to those 18 and older. To apply, go to http://my.americorps.gov and send a resume to enedelia@gwpaz.org.
