Gregory Gonzales was born on February 26, 1968 to Fred and Lydia Gonzales. He was the third of five children Cathy, Sego, George and Albert. He was raised in Thatcher and attended Thatcher Schools.
Greg met his true love Lani Sibley in February 1991 and they never left each other’s side. They were married on December 22, 1994.
Greg was a devoted husband and father to Michael (Samantha) and Alyssa. He was a beloved grandfather to Audrina, Adrian, Michaela, Dean and Samuel. He had so much love for his grandchildren and they were always with their Grandpa.
Greg loved being outdoors and especially loved hunting and camping. He spent many hunting trips with all his family. He was always ready to go hunting with his dad, brothers and nieces and nephews.
Greg loved sports. Wether it be playing slow pitch softball, coaching Little League, watching his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews games or attending Arizona Wildcat Football games he loved it all.
Greg worked in the lumberyard at Thatcher Building Supply for 12 years before going to work at Phelps Dodge (Freeport McMoRan) in 2004. He was employed there until 2018 when he was unable to work any longer. He met many good people and made many friends throughout the years.
Greg was diagnosed with ALS in October 2018. He fought bravely, never complaining or loosing faith. He had amazing strength and nothing but love for his family. He knew his time with us was limited and he spent it enjoying life with all his family by his side.
