Greenlee reports first new coronavirus case in more than a month

CLIFTON — Greenlee County’s streak of days without a new case of COVID-19 has ended at 47.

The Greenlee County Health Department announced a new case Wednesday evening, brining the county’s total to 59 cases with two deaths.

There were no new cases reported Thursday.

Graham County Health Department announced just three new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.

There was one case each in Pima, Safford and on the San Carlos Apache reservation.

The county’s total is at 811, with 130 of the cases still active and 24 deaths.

The age group that has contracted the virus in the greatest number is 20- to 44-years-old, with 351 cases. That’s followed by those under 20 years old with 148 cases and those 65 and older with 134 cases.

Those in middle age in Graham County have seen the fewest cases, with 89 cases in those 45- to 54-years-old and  88 cases in those 55- to 64-years-old.
