SAFFORD — Traffic is being re-routed around U.S. Highway 191 and 8th Street following an accident involving a train and car Friday afternoon.
Witnesses reported seeing a white sedan leave the Johnson Motors parking lot and drive directly into the path of the slow-moving train.
The driver has not yet been identified and there is no word on if anyone was injured in the incident.
