Graham, Greenlee COVID-19 cases continue to rise

SAFFORD — There are 10 new cases of coronavirus in the Gila Valley.

Graham County Health Department announced the new cases Wednesday morning, bringing the county’s total to 1,063, with 269 of the cases considered active and 27 deaths.

Seven of the cases are in Safford, two in Thatcher and one on the San Carlos Apache reservation.

It’s the third day in a row, and the seventh time in the last eight days, new cases have been in the double digits in Graham County.

Greenlee County Health Department announced a new case late Tuesday evening,  the fourth day in a row at least one person has tested positive in Greenlee County and the fifth time in seven days.

Greenlee County’s total is at 82, with 20 of the cases considered active and two deaths.
