Graham County tops 300 coronavirus cases

SAFFORD — With Monday’s announcement of 14 new cases, Graham County officially has 312 positive cases of COVID-19.

Nine of the new cases are from Safford, three from Thatcher and one each from Pima and the San Carlos Apache reservation.

Fifty-five of those who tested positive have recovered, 252 cases are still active and there have been five deaths.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe also announced 15 new cases Monday, bringing the total number of tribal members who have tested positive to 307 — 283 on the reservation and 24 off.

Two hundred and seven have recovered, 93 are active and there have been seven deaths.

Greenlee County continues to hold at 39 cases, with 12 recovered, 26 active and one death.

Greenlee County will be the site of the next COVID-19 testing blitz, when Gila Health Resources holds free drive-through testing Saturday, July 25, from 7-11 a.m., in Morenci.
