THATCHER — Thatcher Police detectives have concluded the recent death of a 29-year-old man was the result of self-inflicted injury.
The victim’s body was discovered on the Mt. Graham Golf Course on Sunday, Aug. 1, at about 5:50 a.m.
Thatcher Police, with assistance from Safford Police, investigated the incident and, following transfer of the body to Pima County Medical Examiner’s Office, determined that no foul play involved.
“We would like to express our most sincere condolences the family and friends of (the victim),” Thatcher Police Chief Shaffen Woods wrote in a press release. “We would also like to thank the agencies that assisted with this case, as well as the staff at the Mt. Graham Golf Course and McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Home.”
