SAFFORD — There are multiple offerings this week for those seeking a friendly face and a hot meal for the holiday.
Victory Fellowship will provide a free Thanksgiving meal for anyone with a home or without, in Safford’s Firth Park on Wednesday, starting at 5 p.m.
On Thursday morning, Letty Garcia will open her restaurant, Toni’s Kitchen in Thatcher, to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal to be delivered to homebound seniors by volunteers with Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services (SEACUS) and Freeport-McMoRan, as part of the Meals on Wheels program.
At noon Thursday, the American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will start serving a full Thanksgiving meal free to everyone at American Legion Swift-Murphy Post 32 in Safford. The meals will also be available for delivery; call 928-428-2990 to schedule a delivery.
