SAFFORD — Graham County is taking steps to get lost pets back with their owners.
Graham County Animal Control recently purchased a tag engraving machine and are making personalized tags available at the Animal Control facility to pet owners at no charge. In addition, any animal adopted out the Animal Control Facility will also leave with a free tag.
Desert Cat Rescue and Sanctuary recently presented Animal Control with a microchip scanner to help identify lost pets that have been chipped.
The Animal Control facility, on Old Country Club Road in Safford, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
