Fiocla Marie Dolchok Decker

Fiocla Marie Dolchok Decker will always be remembered as a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Stepmom, Nana, Auntie, Sister, Cousin and Friend. She was gifted with the ability to make everyone feel valued, loved, and important and all who knew her felt special in her presence. There was always a fresh pot of coffee brewing, something yummy to snack on, and a welcoming chair for conversation.

Born in Kenai, Alaska on November 9, 1939, Marie was the youngest of seven children and cherished by her siblings. Marie married her first husband, Max McCurdy in 1960 and raised six children. This adventure would take her to Oregon for eight years, and then to Duncan, Arizona for ten years. After the passing of Max, Marie met and married John Decker. The two moved to Clifton, Arizona where they loved and served one another, their family, and the community. In 2014, after Johns passing, Marie was honored as the Grand Marshall of The Festival of Lights, an annual event she and John participated in and cherished each year. Marie enjoyed riding the Harley with John, camping, fishing, cheering on her grandchildren at sporting and theater events, yard sales, craft fairs, and Bingo! Marie passed away June 10, 2017 at her home in Clifton.

Marie is survived by her brother, Mackarius Dolcok, children, Max McCurdy, Jr., Donna Rodriguez, Karen (Justin) Nichols, Shawn McCurdy, Shane McCurdy, Mindi (Dale) Davis, and Mark Decker. Twenty-One Grandchildren and eighteen Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Max McCurdy, Sr., husband, John Henry Decker, father, Mike Dolchok, mother, Lydia Dolchok, siblings, Lloyd Dolchok, Alec Dolchok, Emil Dolchok, Anton Dolchok, Mike Dolchok, and Helen Dolchok, and son, Bart McCurdy.

Marie lived her final days loving her family, and demonstrating great grace, courage, and strength. Her kind and beautiful smile will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Duncan.
