Eric John Sabin, Jr. was born April 7, 1998, in Safford, to Eric John, Sr. and Jennifer Marie Sabin. Eric John was the youngest of two sons.
Eric John enjoyed his community of Duncan, Arizona, where he lived the majority of his life. He was an avid bicyclist and was delighted that he could cycle to all the places he needed or wanted to go in town.
Besides his bicycle, he regularly participated in camping, fishing, hiking, archery and shooting. He walked if his bicycle was not available. Eric John enjoyed visiting with those that crossed his path and took great pleasure in being with his family, especially his brother’s family and grandparents.
Eric John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through the different program at Church, Eric John became comfortable with sharing his beliefs with others. He was accepting of others and did his best in completing his callings.
Between school, church, and home, Eric John became a kind, caring, loving, loyal, trustworthy, determined young man. His spirit and insights will be forever in our hearts.
Eric John passed into eternity Saturday morning, October 15, 2022, at the age of 24.
Eric John is survived by: his parents; an older brother, Francisco Gamez (Adriana); and their children Zachary, Annabelle, Emma, Carmen, Naomi and Gwendolyn; his grandmother, Marian Lun;t and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Eric John was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lawrence and Mildred Sabin and his grandfather, Wilbur Lunt.
Funeral services for Eric John will be conducted Monday morning, October 31, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Duncan Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Steve Lunt of the Virden Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday morning, October 31, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at the Duncan Stake Center Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
