THATHCHER– The tough early season tournament schedule paid dividends for the Eastern Arizona College volleyball team as they won their first first three ACCAC contests against Mesa, Pima and Yavapai College. Because of that, two Monsters earned Player of the Week Awards.
Division I Offensive Player of the Week – Reagan Olson – Freshman – The Gila Monsters defeated Pima and Yavapai last week and the Snowflake, AZ, native collected 29 digs and had 31 digs. She also had two aces, a block and an assist.
Division I Defensive Player of the Week – Kadyn Osborne – Freshman – In the same two matches the native of Anchorage, AK, had 79 assists and 40 digs. In addition she had six kills, four blocks and a service ace.
Monsters travel to Scottsdale on Wednesday for a 7:00pm match.
