Driver rolls ATV, faces DUI charges

GRAHAM COUNTY — A Gila Valley man could be facing charges of driving under the influence after flipping his ATV.

The incident occurred in the area of Lebanon Loop and Cactus Road, just after 9 p.m.

Graham County Sheriff’s deputies reported witnesses said the driver failed to stop at the stop sign at the T-intersection, driving the ATV into a dirt berm and flipping the vehicle.

The driver was thrown from the ATV and was unresponsive to good Samaritans who came upon the scene. Deputies also said the driver had a strong odor of alcohol.

The driver was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. A warrant was obtained to draw the driver’s blood to test for alcohol.
