Domestic Disturbance Leads to Tactical Response – No Injuries Reported

Safford – Safford Police Department officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a male and female in the 200 block of 5th Avenue. As officers arrived on scene, they heard a gunshot coming from the vicinity of the residence in question. 

Out of an abundance of caution, additional law enforcement resources were requested, and a perimeter was established around the neighborhood. Utilizing a tactical response vehicle, officers approached the residence and made contact with the involved individuals.

Both the male and female subjects were safely detained for further investigation. 

No injuries were reported during the incident. 

Safford Police were assisted by the Graham County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Thatcher and Pima Police Departments. The investigation remains ongoing.
