David Archuleta returns to the Gila Valley

David Archuleta is making his triumphant return to Safford to play the David M. Player Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 24, at 7 p.m.

SAFFORD – David Archuleta is scheduled to return to the Gila Valley once again to perform at the David M. Player Center for the Arts.

Tickets are still available for Archuleta’s show this Saturday, June 24, at 7 p.m. This will be Archuleta’s second time visiting the Gila Valley since entertaining a sold-out show last June. Tickets are available at the CFA and available online at CFA Ticket Sales.

For those interested in attending Archeleta’s show, and willing to cast their figurative coin into the well of possibility, Gila Valley Central has a created a contest ticket package for two.

When asked about the upcoming concert, CFA Manager Terry Williams said his crew was excited about Archuleta’s return.

“We are very excited to have David Archuleta back at the Player Center,” Williams said. “David is one of the most engaging artists we have had. Everyone from age 8 to 108 will enjoy this show.”

For those who have never heard of David Archuleta, he is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Specializing in pop music, he’s from Sandy, Utah and is now an internationally-known star. At the age of 17, he became one of the youngest contestants on the television show, American Idol. He finished as the contest’s runner-up, receiving 44 percent of more than 97 million votes.

Archuleta has released multiple albums, including one album solely in the Philippines. He’s been on military tribute tours and served a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’  mission in Chile. When he isn’t recording music, he works with disaster relief and charities.

“His music is awesome as well as his personality,” Williams said.
