Danny Paul Lozano

Danny Paul Lozano, (Dan), a resident of Marana, Arizona, entered into eternal rest Monday, July 24, 2023. He was 64. Danny was born in Morenci, Arizona, on October 7, 1958, to Ignacio Lozano, Sr and Helen Bertoldo Lozano.

Danny attended Safford Schools (Lafe Nelson through Safford High School), graduating with the Safford Class of 1976. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Arizona and graduated earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration in Tucson, Arizona. Danny was employed professionally with Allstate Insurance Company for many years as an administrator. After semi-retiring, he continued to work for independent insurance companies such as Main Street America Group as a Business Development Executive.

Danny enjoyed traveling, especially visiting national parks where he would hike the trails and stay at the campgrounds. He loved the beauty of the mountains and trails. Recently he spent time at Estes Park located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park near Denver, Colorado. There he enjoyed the waterfalls, lakes, and mountain streams.

Danny was preceded in death by: his parents, Ignacio Sr and Helen.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ignacio “Nacho” Lozano, Jr (Natalia), Marvin F. Lozano (Miquela Rivera), and Sandra Figueroa (John). In addition, his godson/nephew, Johnny Figueroa (Jessica) and his other godson/grandnephew, Fernando Lozano; as well as his nieces, Wendy Robles (Ron), Tiffanie Ashhurst (Ed), Nadia Gonzales (Michael), Brittnie Nauman (Jeremy), Larissa M. Lozano, Esq.; and 11 grand nieces and nephews.

Danny was loved by family and many friends. His integrity, kindness, and good character will be missed by all. We find comfort knowing we will see him again and reunite as a family as promised by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Mass of Christian burial for Danny will be celebrated Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Rev. Nicodemus Shaghel. Committal will follow in the Safford Cemetery.

A eulogy for Danny will be read Friday, August 11, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., also at the church.

A rosary and public gathering will be offered Thursday evening, August 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley”.
