GLOBE — Cleanup continues this week, following the Sept. 27 flooding in the Globe-Miami area, impacting travel times between the Gila Valley and the Phoenix metro area.
To clean debris and mud from the roadway, east- and westbound lane restrictions will take place on U.S. Highway 60 between milepost 243 in Miami and the U.S. Highway 70 junction (milepost 252) daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Thursday, Oct. 9, or as necessary. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
All other work on the roadway has been suspended until cleanup efforts are completed.
Drivers should allow extra travel time and use caution through the work zones.
