SAFFORD — Motorists should add extra travel time on U.S. Highway 70 in Safford and Thatcher, as work takes place on pavement rehabilitation of the roadway.
Arizona Department of Transportation announced that eastbound curb lane restrictions will be in place between Reay Lane in Thatcher and 8th Street in Safford this week, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, while crews begin ADA ramp work.
In addition, there will be rolling lane restrictions, as crews work in multiple sections.
Motorists should exert caution and follow posted speed limits through the work zones.
