Carmen Baca, 61, of Pima entered into rest on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Phoenix. She was born on February 15, 1955, in Mercedes, Texas to Thomas and Felipa Martinez.
Carmen attended Pima Schools, and graduated from Mt. Graham High School in 2012. Married Joe Baca on June 12, 1982. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She worked as a Paraprofessional for Dan Hinton School for 20 years. She loved watching any type of sport, cheering and yelling even if she wasn’t watching anyone she knew. She loved to cook for everyone; tamales, burros, and tortillas. She was diagnosed with Sclerosis of the Liver in May of 2011. She fought long and hard with her illness. But she was always in good spirits. She was always ready to go to any families or friends celebrations. She loved to talk smack and joke with everyone. She never let it bring her down, and we all admired her for that. No matter how sick she was, she still made time to cook and bake for family and friends. She was a very loving and caring person. She was always willing to help anyone. She would do anything for her boys, and grandchildren, Maria, Daniel, Analysa, Aviana, and Little Rob.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Baca of Pima; sons, Oscar Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Robert (Victoria) Ramirez, and Joe (Janet) Baca, Jr., her mother, Felipa Martinez; her siblings, Leandra Espinoza, Petra Lopez, Eldifonso Martinez, Ester Martinez, Frank Martinez, and Rebecca Carrasco; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Felipe Ramirez, her father, Tomas Martinez, and her brothers; Andres Martinez and Tomas Martinez, Jr.
