SAFFORD —The Coronado National Forest is seeking volunteer camp site hosts for the 2025 season.
Four opportunities are available:
- Riggs Campground — highest location on the mountain. Includes the lake. RV space for host. No hook-ups, maximum RV size is 22 feet. Drinking water is available.
- Shannon Campground — RV space for host. No hook-ups, maximum RV size is 22 feet.
- Arcadia Campground — host site is in Lower Arcadia Campground. RV space for host. No hook-ups, maximum RV size is 22 feet. Lowest elevation site. Drinking water is available.
- Columbine Visitor Center — RV site for host, electrical, water, grey water hook ups available. Hosts will staff the visitor center.
The forest will provide propane for the hosts and bathrooms are available at all locations.
Vehicles (including trailers) longer than 22 feet are not recommended because of the difficulty of driving the switchbacks on State Route 366.
