Betty Jean Elmer went to be with our Heavenly Father, her husband Alvin, and two of her children, Christopher and Hope, on Friday, June 14, 2019. Betty was 79.
Betty was born August 18, 1939, in Lordsburg, New Mexico, to David Harry and Vetta Payne Wright. Her family moved to Morenci when she was a child. In her later years, Betty and Alvin made Duncan their home.
Betty was preceded in death by: both her parents; one brother; her loving husband, Alvin; and two of her children, Christopher and Hope.
She is leaving behind: her daughter, Betsy; her four sons, Robert, Michael, Joseph and Lee; numerous grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Betty will be conducted Friday, June 21, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Duncan Stake Center by Bishop Steve Lunt of the Virden Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Friday afternoon, June 21, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Duncan Stake Center Relief Society Room.
