AZ law enforcement agencies plan DUI patrols for New Years

The holidays are a time of cheer but local Police Officers are on the lookout for those driving who’ve had too much “cheer.”

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, earlier this fall, donated thousands of dollars to local police forces and DPS for extra patrols scheduled to run up to New Years.

These extra officers will be on the lookout for distracted drivers and some who cannot keep their vehicle on the road. These Holiday DUI Task Forces will be everywhere – in every town and city in Arizona.

If you are planning on going out where alcohol will be served, use your head and – if you have to – hire a designated driver to get you back home safely.

You’ll be glad you did in the morning.
