PHOENIX — The opening of the spring hunt draw in Arizona is occurring soon and Arizona Game and Fish is offering a few tips to make the application process easier.
Start with downloading and using Game and Fish’s app, Arizona E-Tag.
The app allows hunters to access their portal account, which is required to apply for a draw, as well as receive a license electronically and tag a harvested animal.
The app also shares data with Game and Fish biologists, which allows for more accurate hunt recommendations.
Hunters must have a valid license to apply for a permit tag. And Game and Fish recommends purchasing a PointGuard product, which will reinstate bonus points expended for a hunt permit tage, if the tag must be surrendered for any reason.
Date for the start of the 2024 spring draw has not yet been announced, but the last day to apply is Oct. 3.
