The personal finance website, WalletHub, just released data indicating that Arizona is dead last in the fight against COVID-19. Staying safe during the pandemic is one of America’s top concerns. Safety is also essential for getting the economy back on track. Even with most businesses open, many people are being cautious about exposure.
Some states are safer than others. Alaska came in first in the study as the safest place during the pandemic. Arizona is dead-last in the rankings.

The data set includes the rates of COVID-19 transmission, positive testing, hospitalizations and death, as well as the share of the eligible population getting vaccinated.
